And heres mine...

Big Ted!

Took some finding, but here he is, the imaginatively named Big Ted (i had two teds, theres no prize for guessing the others name...). Not sure exactly how old he is, but he has been mine for 40 years :) I`m not 100% sure, but I think he was a present from my grandparents on my first birthday. Not exactly a classic example of old style teds but very soft and cuddly. Plenty of repair work has been done, including a completely refurbished stomach (I almost lost him due to the amount of stuffing loss!). I`m also sure at one point he had a nose and mouth. It's a miracle he still has both original eyes!
Also in need of a good wash but i fear a quick spin cycle might be too much for him. :(

He got me through some tough times did Big Ted - nightmares when i was a toddler, my first day at school, when i started my first job, erm, oops, ignore that last one...
He's basically just a well used, and well loved, teddy bear - he's the one thing from my childhood I would never throw out and, given the chance, one of the things i`d choose to save in a disaster.

Hopefully he`ll still be around in 40 years time.
